Please find attached our Investment Committee’s comments in relation to domestic and global markets over the last quarter and how, in light of market conditions, portfolios have been rebalanced and why.
While we have endured a couple of years that have been dominated by COVID-19 and its variants, it appears that Australia and the World are now moving closer to a ‘new normal’ with fewer disruptions.
On the domestic front, inflation is on the rise and unemployment appears to be low. Consequently, while the Reserve Bank needs to be cautious with its approach to interest rates, it’s likely that the official interest rate will rise earlier than the RBA has previously said.
Please be assured that, based on market conditions, portfolios are reviewed and rebalanced regularly.
I trust that you will find the attached report from our Investment Committee useful and, as always, encourage you to contact me if you have any questions and especially if your personal circumstances have changed.
