Financial markets have been, an continue to be, volatile, however, little has changed in terms of our outlook. We continue to anticipate a further slowdown in global economic activity and we remain cautious that the breadth of the rise in the US share market is very narrow. Further, it would appear, from the recent data, that we are at the tail end of the tightening cycle both in Australia and the US and that the continued strength in the labour market and in several other indicators suggests that a deep recession is unlikely
